Vietnam Rising: Youth Movements for Wellbeing and a Greener Future

👉🏽 Download concept note

What do we want to do?

This 3-year project will work with locally rooted changemaker groups that are already actively engaged in raising awareness and communicating about the issues that matter to their communities. Building on their existing momentum, the project will strengthen their confidence, skills, and connections—enabling them to design and lead impactful movements that shape public discourse and drive meaningful change on the issues they care most about.

The goal is to transform their energy and ideas into sustainable, child and youth-led solutions — while investing in their long-term leadership as independent agents of change, beyond the support of any institution.

What we need to make it happen?

We are seeking $320,000 USD over 3 years to implement this SHIFT movement. The following breakdown outlines project costs:

Project Costs (Activity Costs):

  • Membership to the SHIFT Global Network, including training, mentorship, and creative/campaign support

  • Recruitment, training, and facilitation of local child and youth-led changemaker groups

  • Fees for Creative Buddies, including design and production of movement materials
Campaign seed funding directly managed by the youth group (or with their input)
Movement storytelling: youth-led filming and impact documentation

  • Travel, workshops, and logistics to support youth participation

  • Local staff coordination and project oversight

  • Small follow-on grants via the Carrot Fund to strengthen sustainability

Project Administration (CAM/ICR):
Total: $320,000 USD
