What do we want to do?

This 2-year project will partner with local and established changemaker groups who are already active in their communities. We will equip them with the confidence, skills, and networks they need to design and implement movements influencing public discourse, on issues that are most relevant to them.

The goal of our project is to transform energy and ideas into sustainable, community-ed solutions, while also investing in the long term capacity of young leaders to become agents of change, well beyond the support of any single institution.

What we need to make it happen?

We are seeking $210,000 USD over 2 years to implement this SHIFT movement.

The following breakdown outlines project costs:

Project Costs (Activity Costs):

  • Fees for Creative Buddies, including design and production of movement materials

  • Campaign seed funding directly managed by the youth group (or with their input)

  • Movement storytelling: youth-led filming and impact documentation

  • Travel, workshops, and logistics to support youth participation

  • Local staff coordination and project oversight

  • Small follow-on grants via the Carrot Fund to strengthen sustainability

  • Membership to the SHIFT Global Network, including training, mentorship, and creative/campaign support
