What do we want to do?

We will aim to reduce out-of-school rates in target areas by 30%, bringing back over 14,000 children into education, and ignite sustainable youth-led movements to drive the importance of education and re-set community expectations around the central barriers young people face. 

To achieve this, the project will address the four biggest barriers preventing vulnerable children, especially girls, from accessing school:

1. Child Marriage

2. Early Pregnancy

3. Child Labour

4. Internal Displacement and Migration
   
   

What we need to make it happen?

We are seeking $300,000 USD over 3 years to implement Phase 1 of SHIFT in Ethiopia.

This includes:

• SHIFT Global Network membership (training, mentoring, tools)

• Recruitment and support for youth-led groups

• Creative Buddy design and campaign production

• Youth-managed seed funding

• Youth-led storytelling and media content

• Travel, logistics, and campaign events

• Local staff coordination and oversight

• Follow-on sustainability grants via the Carrot Fund
