Let the Truth Move Us! Youth-Led National Movement to End Sexual Violence and Child Marriage in Bolivia

👉🏽 Download concept note

What do we want to do?

This initiative marks a turning point for youth leadership and participation in Bolivia. It aims to scale up local experiences to the national level to confront three interlinked violations of children’s and women’s rights:

  • Sexual Violence Against Children and Adolescents (SVACA)

  • Child, Early and Forced Marriage and Unions (CEFMU)

  • Early, unintended adolescent pregnancy

Save the Children Bolivia has extensive experience in youth empowerment, strong partnerships with civil society and UN agencies, and a proven track record of successful youth-led SHIFT campaigns. Combined with the approval of a new law prohibiting child marriage before the age of 18 in Bolivia.
