FUN ADULT
TRAINING
Train adults to effectively work with youth
A hands-on 2-day workshop for people who want to explore the SHIFT model and bring it to life in their own context. Packed with tools, stories, and activities, it helps adults support youth-led change with confidence, care, and a little fun.
-
Fun Adult Training is an immersive, hands-on experience designed to introduce adults and youth to the tools, attributes and knowledge they need to engage, empower and collaborate with young changemakers. This isn’t your typical lecture-style workshop—expect energy, creativity, and plenty of fun!
Participants step into the shoes of young people, experiencing firsthand the activities, challenges, and problem-solving methods used in youth-led spaces. Through music, performances, role-playing, team-building games, and interactive discussions, adults learn how to shift power to young people in their communities and help them lead more effective changemaker movements.
This training isn’t just about working with young people—it’s about rediscovering your youthful energy, embracing creativity, and co-creating solutions with young people instead of speaking for them. Through SHIFT, young people learn to gather and consider insights from their communities and use these perspectives to make key decisions about how to influence change. At the same time, Fun Adults gain the tools they need to become incredible partners—mentors who listen, empower, and collaborate. You’ll learn to create a space where young people don’t just participate, but lead and thrive.
-
The goal of Fun Adult Training is to expose participants to the basics of the SHIFT model and allow potential future facilitators with the skills, mindset and tools they’ll need to effectively engage, empower, and collaborate with young people. Participants will test some of our design thinking tools and consider how they can be applied for future challenges. Together, this fosters inclusive spaces where young people can lead, thrive, and drive meaningful change.
